This is not a new music video but chances are you've never seen it or heard the lovely song by the UK group. It never fails to make my heart leap because of the way the simple story is conveyed so effectively by the two actors. Pay close attention to every gesture and expression they make. The way the woman looks differently at her boyfriend at one point and cocks her head. The gradual agitation of the young man. Also notice how deftly the changes in time and space and ambience are edited to suggest the theme. How one scene rhymes visually with the next. And how this is choreographed with the swelling emotions of the song. Directed by Dominic Leung, who also did the haunting "Mysteries" video for Beth Gibbons.

OK, you fair weather liberals--who amongst ye has had the cajones to sue Donald Rumsfeld when he was your employer? Thanks to a new site that collects legal documents, I found the court documents from a class action suit I was involved in way back in the late 1970s. I was in the Army then and some of us felt our recruiters lied about the particulars of the MOS (military occupation speciality) we had signed up for. Rumsfeld was Secretary of Defense (when the suit was filed in '76) so he was a defendant in the case. Well, we lost the case and I stayed in the Army and received an honorable discharge. But at least I sued the bastard!
